Miami Marlins star Giancarlo Stanton is one of the premier power hitters in all of baseball, and tonight he reminded us all again tonight in a big way.
In the 5th inning of tonight’s Marlins-Rockies game, Stanton hit a 504 foot home run, the deepest blast of the 2016 MLB season so far, for his 23rd homer on the year.
Per MLB.com’s Daren Willman, Stanton’s homer was impressive in more ways than just one:
Holy moly… Stanton just hit a HR projected at 504ft… Longest recorded by @statcast. 115.8 MPH, launch angle 18 degrees

I think it’s safe to say Stanton was able to get all of Chad Bettis‘ offering here:
Stanton is now hitting .242/.329/.490 on the year with 23 home runs and 63 runs batted in for the Marlins, who are currently tied with the St. Louis Cardinals for the National League’s final playoff spot.
