VIDEO: Mike Trout Launches Walk-Off Home Run in 9th Inning vs. Red Sox

Mike Trout is coming off his second all-star MVP in his young career. What a better way to celebrate than showing why he is the reigning American League MVP as well? That’s just what he did in the Angels home game against the Boston Red Sox. The game was the Angels first of the second half.

Wade Miley was throwing an absolute gem. He had a no-hitter going into the 7th inning, and he held the Angels high powered offense to zero runs after surrounding his one hit. C.J. Wilson was dealing as well, throwing eight shutout innings and allowing just five hits to counter Miley’s start. That set the stage in the 9th inning for Trout, as he came to the plate with two outs and he, well, raked.

Trout is now batting .311 on the season with 27 home runs and 56 runs batted in.
