New York Mets starting pitcher Matt Harvey may not always get the offense he deserves behind him, so today, he decided to put a twist on it. In today’s Diamondbacks-Mets game, Matt Harvey stepped up to the plate versus Diamondbacks pitcher Patrick Corbin. The first pitch he saw from Corbin was a 93 mile per hour fastball, and he did this with it:

The home run is Harvey’s first of his Major League career. He joins rookie pitcher Noah Syndergaard as the other Mets pitcher to hit a home run this year. We know Steven Matz can hit, and with Harvey’s two run-shot, the Mets are now tied for the most hits by pitchers in baseball with the San Francisco Giants with 30.
