The Toronto Blue Jays made one of the biggest deals of the MLB trading season when they acquired shortstop Troy Tulowitzki from the Colorado Rockies in-exchange for Jose Reyes and prospects. Tulowitzki made his Blue Jay debut today against the Philadelphia Phillies in Toronto. While he struck out in his first at-bat, he killed the ball in his second at-bat.
Tulowitzki also had a good overall debut, going 3-5 with three runs batted in, helping the Blue Jays win 8-2. Not bad for your first day in a country you’ll be in for quite some time over the next few years.
