Philadelphia 76ers rookie center Joel Embiid impressed once again on Sunday night.
Embiid scored a career-high 33 points on 12-17 shooting from the field, while also going 2-3 from three-point range, and 7-8 from the free throw line in the 76ers’ 108-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia’s 7th win this season.
“He wanted to dominate the game,” 76ers head coach Brett Brown said.
17 of Embiid’s 33 points came in the 3rd quarter, and he buried two crucial free throws in the final seconds of the game to wrap up the win.
The 22-year-old Embiid entered the night with averages of 17.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. Tonight was also the first career game for Embiid with 30 or more points.
