Jimmy Rollins will always be remembered as a Phillie great. He was with the team for 14 years before they entered a rebuilding process that saw J-Roll go to the Dodgers, and now to the Chicago White Sox, per Dan Haynes of CSN Chicago.

Rollins, who turned 37 in November, batted .224/.285/.458 over 144 games for the Dodgers in 2015, hitting 13 home runs while driving in 41 runs. Shortstop on the White Sox isn’t necessarily a strength of their team, as Tyler Saladino is the projected starter. This gives Rollins a good chance to make the team.

It’s the given that Rollins isn’t the five-tool player anymore that won the National League’s MVP award back in 2007, but he can still be a quality bench player on any team that isn’t in the rebuilding stage, which the White Sox are definitely not in.
