Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins caught his first touchdown on the year, but he didn’t expect to get hurt on the play.
Watkins had to leave the game following the touchdown grab due to a left ankle injury. Watkins appeared to be in more pain due to leaving the field in crutches, leading us to think that the ankle injury could more severe than just a sprain.
But, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, x-rays on Watkins’ left ankle are negative,
As for #Bills WR Sammy Watkins, there was no break. It's a sprained ankle.

The severity of the ankle injury remains uncertain, but it’s unlikely Watkins would’ve changed the game majorily as the Bills fell to 3-3 on the year after losing to the undefeated Bengals 34-21.
