Yankees Promote top Outfield Prospect Aaron Judge to Triple-A

Yankees top outfield prospect Aaron Judge will be promoted along with three other Yankees prospect to Triple-A Scranton. The news was first reported by Jack curry of YES Network. Judge has drawn comparisons to Miami Marlins right fielder Giancarlo Stanton in terms of their home run hitting. Judge did that a lot a Double-A Trenton, homering 12 times which included 44 runs batted in and a .289 batting average.

Judge spoke to Alex Schiffer of NJ.com prior to being called up to Scranton last Thursday.

“I just try not to think about it,” Judge said. “I’m not getting paid to think about whose getting moved up and down so my job is just to win ball games either in New Jersey or Scranton or New York.”

This season, Judge also talked about how he changed his approach at the plate.

“I’ve moved closer to the plate,” he said. “I’m just trying to get my pitch. Even though it’s my first year of Double-A people still make mistakes and I’m just trying to get the right pitch and get on base.”

“I just try to keep it simple. I try not to have long term goals for a whole season, but everyday just trying to improve and get on base for my team.
