Yankees owner George Steinbrenner may have died 4 years ago, but his love and appreciation for the men and woman that protect New York City, still remains today. George Steinbrenner’s foundation, which has been around for 32 years has confirmed they will pay for one of the two officers who was murdered inside a squad car Saturday.

As for the other cop Wenjian Liu, was recently married, but had no kids as of the time of his death. As for Steinbrenner, he started this foundation after seeing a news account about a NYPD officer killed while in the line of duty.
Ramos’ will have educations paid for by the Silver Shield Foundation for his 13-year-old son Jaden and his other son in college.
