The top Cuban prospect has finally made his decision. According to MLB.com’s Jesse Sanchez, Yoan Moncada will sign with the Boston Red Sox. Moncada is expected to get a deal in the 30 million-dollar range, and will need about 1-2 years in the Red Sox’s minor league system, per Jesse Sanchez and Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal.

Moncada expected to need 1-2 seasons in minors. And yes, one option for #RedSox going forward will be to move Sandoval to first base.

Moncada is expected to get a record bonus on his contract. Other teams in the running for Moncada included the Red Sox’s rival the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, and many other teams were rumored to be interested.
