The next best Major League Baseball player is now free to sign with any Major League team after Baseball changed their rules on baseball players coming from Cuba. The 19 year-old second base prospect is expected to get a deal worth at least 80 million. Moncada could also get a bigger deal then free agent pitcher James Shields.
The teams that have been reported to be in the Yoan Moncada sweepstakes are the, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Tampa Bay Rays.
