Zach LaVine has become the new slam dunk contest champion, and according to him, he would take down Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James in a slam dunk contest. In a interview shortly following the dunk contest, Lavine told SportsCenter that he would take himself to beat LeBron James in a one-on-one dunk contest. LaVine went into more detail in the following.
“I never go against my own talent so I’ve got to say me,” LaVine said in his interview.
“I know LeBron’s got some stuff that he ain’t showed the world, either,” Zach LaVine said. “LeBron’s one of the most freaky athletes of all time … But like I said, I’m a confident person.”
In LeBron’s 11 year career, he has never participated in the dunk contest. LaVine won it at 19 years old, and looks to still have even more chances to win it, as he was the first person since Dwight Howard in 2008 to record multiple dunks with perfect scores.
