The Los Angeles Clippers are already without star power forward Blake Griffin, and now Chris Paul‘s back up at point guard in Austin Rivers will also be on the shelf for some time:

Rivers has been a solid backup to Paul in his time with Los Angeles. It hasn’t been anything special, but whenever you lose three-point shooting in this league, especially at the guard position it is very notable indeed.

With the injury to his son, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers will likely give the main backup point guard minutes to veteran guard Pablo Prigioni. Lance Stephenson is another guy who could move up in the rotation minutes wise.

Rivers is averaging 8.1 points, 1.3 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game this season.
