The Denver Broncos have officially franchise tagged wide receiver Demaryius Thomas. The Broncos, who had to pick between Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas, decided to let Julius Thomas test the open market to see his value. Demaryius Thomas will make 13 million dollars by receiving the franchise tag, as Peyton Manning will get to play with his number one wide out for one more year.

Broncos will place their franchise tag of WR Demaryius Thomas before today's 4 ET deadline.

Thomas caught 111 passes last year, for 1,619 yards and 11 touchdowns.
