Klay Thompson emerged as one of the best shooting guards in the NBA this season alongside the NBA’s MVP Stephen Curry. He set the NBA record for the most points in a single quarter with 37 points in the 3rd quarter against the Kings. Thompson no longer needed to rely on his teammates to create open looks for him, and became better on defense becoming the two-way player the Warriors needed averaging 21.7 points per game.
